Virtual Expert

	Clicking the Main Menu button on the toolbar from anywhere within Virtual Expert will bring you back to the Main Menu. The Main Menu is a list of lessons offered for a given application (i.e., GroupWise 6).
	Clicking the Skill Evaluation button will bring you to an online skill evaluation where you can assess your knowledge level of each of the lessons offered for a given application.
	Clicking the Help button from anywhere within Virtual Expert will bring you to a help page documenting how to navigate in Virtual Expert, offering tips on choosing your learning method and controlling the pace of each demonstration.
	Clicking the Close button will close any window and return to the Virtual Expert Home page.

Choosing your Learning Method

There are two types of learning methods available to you after selecting a lesson in Virtual Expert: Let me learn and Show me how. Both methods take you through the same lesson, but each in a different style.

	Let me learn is an interactive method of learning that allows you to follow the lesson hands-on and at your own speed. Voice prompts and screen indicators lead you through each step of the lesson and the control buttons allow you to set your own pace.
	Show me how allows your to watch and learn. Sit back and relax while a fully automated demonstration shows you what you need to learn, highlighting important steps along the way. The control buttons allow you to set the pace you are comfortable with.

Controlling your Learning Pace

Each lesson allows you to have control over the speed at which you learn. There are several control buttons available to allow you to determine the speed at which you learn.

	Clicking the Back button during a lesson will take you back to the previous step in the lesson.
	Clicking the Stop button during a lesson will stop the lesson on the step you are currently on. You can continue the lesson by clicking the Continue button. The Stop button is only available during Show me how demonstrations.
	Clicking the Repeat button will repeat the step of the lesson you just viewed.
	Clicking the Continue button during a lesson will take you to the next step in that lesson. If you are at the end of a lesson, you will be taken to the next topic listed on the Main Menu.

Lesson Tips

During each lesson, any event that requires interaction or anything to take note of is highlighted with a flashing red indicator.

Tip: During the Let me learn demonstrations, if you see the flashing red indicator but are you not sure how to proceed, click the Continue button. This will bring you to the next step in the lesson.
