NQF
All Intoweb's Training Systems are NQF based. Our Training
Systems's NQF levels are level two and three. NQF 2 indicates
a basic level and NQF 3 an intermediate level.
NQF (National Quality Forum) does quality measurement in
information systems to ensure quality improvement.
NQF is a type of structure containing every approved educational
qualification available allowing students and workers to
gain national and international recognition in the courses
completed.
Most qualifications gained in the workplace are National
Certificates meaning NQF levels one to four.
NQF is designed to provide students:
- consistent standards and qualifications
- recognition and credit for all learning of knowledge
and skills.
When a student has obtained Framework qualifications, they
are then quality assured and nationally recognised.
Every learner gaining credits on the Framework receives a Record of Learning
(ROL).
The Framework is a three-pronged quality system:
- national standards are registered
- used by accredited organisations
- a moderation system ensures national consistency.
Intoweb's training systems are all standards based.
Standards Based Learning (Internaional Standards) is the standard for computer
literacy in over 140 countries and aims for the raise of general level of competency
in IT aswell as improving productivity at work, reduce users support costs,
enabling employers to invest more efficiently in IT and ensures that best practises
and quality issues are understood and implemented.
SBL can be seen as a competency standard that is acknowledged through testing. The
SBL Foundation is a non-profit organisation
SBL offers to it's users:
- Certification that is recognised worldwide showing competency in fundamental
computer skils accross most commercial software platforms.
- Supervised testing that guarentees every certificate holder has done the
work and passed all the tests.
- Return an investment for a company that can count on a fundamental level
of competency from all it's employees.
SCORM Intoweb Training Systems are also available in a scorm format for companies
requiring integration in a SCORM LMS.
SCORM ( Shareable Courseware Object Reference Model) is a suite of technical
standards enabling web based learning systems to find, import, share, reuse
and export learning content in a standardized way.
SCORM offers a set of services that launches learning content, keeps track
of learner progress, figures out in what order learning objects are to be delivered,
and report student mastery through a learning experience.
SCORM makes use of XML and an API (Application Programming Interface - provided
by SCORM) to enable communication between the course and the LMS (Learning
Management System). Many LMS vendors make their product SCORM compliant so
that it can communicate with any SCORM compliant content in a standardized
and consistent manner. Therefore, if a course is SCORM compliant it will be
able to be installed and communicate with any SCORM compliant LMS and vice
versa.
SCORM enables complex directed learning expetience that goes far beyond what
can be done with simply hyperlinked web content.
SCORM contains three parts:
1. Overview
About the model, vission and future
2. Content Aggregation Model
How to put learning content together so it can be moved and reused.
3. Run time environments
How content is launched and the learners progress is tracked and reported back.
